[Solved] Sound Only Coming Out of One Speaker (100% Working)

First of all, check out that the device is connected to the headset. If you are using a Bluetooth headset, then there should not be any wiring between the device and the headset. Also, make sure that the sound of the device is turned on. After ensuring that these basic functions are perfectly okay and still there is no sound coming out of one of the speakers, you better follow our fixes provided in the article.

Fix no. 1: Turning on 100% Audio Balance of the Speakers

Step 1: Right-click on the speaker icon that is placed at the bottom-right corner of the screen and tap on the ‘Sound’.

Step 2: Under the ‘Playback’ tab of the popped-up dialogue box, you have to find your particular headphone. If you are not sure which one is currently connected with the device, play any song and you should see the concerned headphone’s icon suddenly becomes alive. Right-click on the ‘Headphones’ and select the ‘Properties’ option.

Step 3: Under the ‘Levels’ tab, click on the ‘Balance’ button.

Step 4: As you can see from the following figure, speaker no. 2 is showing 0% audio output and hence, there is no sound coming out of that device. If it is the same in your case too, then increase the balance to 100%. Click ‘OK’ to save the changes. This should resolve the issue provided that the speaker’s audio balance was turned off. The problem might be somewhere else, follow the next fix if the audio balance was not an issue in your case.

Fix no. 2: Updating the Audio Driver

Step 1: Search for ‘Device Manager’ from the Windows search bar and click on it to access the tool. Expand the ‘Audio inputs and outputs’ option to find your speakers. Right-click on the speaker; and select the ‘Properties’ option of the speaker.

Step 2: Tap on the ‘Driver’ tab and hit the ‘Update Driver’ button. Follow the commands and proceed normally as you do update other devices. Once the update is completed, restart the device to affect the change you had made.

Fix no. 3: Troubleshooting the Speaker

Step 1: Search for ‘Troubleshoot settings’ from the Windows search bar and click on it upon finding it.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Additional troubleshooters’ link.

Step 3: Here you will see the ‘Playing Audio’ option; double-click on it to start the troubleshooting. If there exists any malware-related issue that provokes one of the speakers not to work properly, Windows will find and remove it from the system.
